Good morning, you little rays of sunshine~!
[Greets everyone warmly as they walk in while leaning against the front of her desk, her hands wrapped around a coffee mug.] I know it’s kinda early, and you’re all probably soooo tired from doing your homework last night, but there’s no longer a need to worry—Welcome to the wonderful world of music~! [Grins brightly before placing her mug back on the desk and walks over to the chalk board, picking up a brand new piece of chalk.] As you may or may not know, my name is… [Begins writing out her name as she says it.] Miss. Tilmitt~! [Sets the chalk back down and turns to face the class once more.] Now, I’ve been informed that you’ve been assigned several projects throughout the week, but I didn’t think it’d hurt to give you another~. [Slowly walks over to a large array of instrument, picking up a guitar from its stand, and places the strap around her torso.] I’m sure you all know this is an acoustic guitar, correct? But—can you tell me all of its parts and how it works? [Idly strums out a few notes before setting it back down.] That is your assignment for the week. [Walks back over to the desk, and hops up to sit on the edge.] Before you can play music, you have to know the instrument inside and out. My assignment is pretty simple, all you have to do is pick one of the instruments from over there. [Gestures back to the display.] And write a report telling me what you’ve learned about it—like its different parts and functions. You are allowed to use books for reference, but from our school’s library only! [Crosses one leg over the other, picking up her coffee mug once more.] Now, I know Dr. Futahito teaches anatomy, but since he’s doing a different project this week, I’d figured you guys wouldn’t mind some musical anatomy~. [Snorts at her own joke.] If there aren’t any questions, you may go and choose your instrument. —! And I expect that report on my desk by Friday afternoon at the latest!
